Overloader Studio built Chess Clarity to provide chess analysis, coaching, and training tools while keeping core chess analysis on the user's device.
Chess analysis
Chess positions, moves, evaluations, and coaching analysis are processed locally on the device. Chess Clarity does not send your chess positions to OpenAI or another cloud-based chess analysis service.
Advertising in the Free version
The Free version may display advertising using Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). When advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may process information such as device identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from network information, advertising interactions, and other data required to provide, measure, prevent fraud, and personalize or limit ads depending on your consent and applicable law.
Where required, Chess Clarity will request advertising consent before requesting ads. You can learn more about how Google uses information from apps that use its services through Google's privacy documentation.
Pro version
Chess Clarity Pro removes advertising. When Pro access is active, Chess Clarity is designed not to request ads from Google Mobile Ads.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Overloader Studio does not receive or store your payment card details.
Contact and feedback
If you choose to contact us through Chess Clarity, the app opens your email application and prepares a message for you to review before sending. The message may include information you enter along with basic technical details such as the app version, iOS version, and device class. Nothing is sent until you choose to send the email.
Accounts
Chess Clarity does not currently require a user account for chess analysis or training features.
Data retention
Overloader Studio does not operate a server that stores your chess games or analysis. Emails you voluntarily send to us may be retained as needed to respond to support requests, investigate bugs, or consider product feedback.
Children
Chess Clarity is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. Advertising behavior may be adjusted based on App Store age rating, applicable law, and Google advertising requirements.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Chess Clarity changes or when legal, platform, or advertising requirements change. The current version will always be published on this page.
